A Political Heavyweight’s murder sparks an investigation that looks into many aspects of the victim as observed by those who knew him best. The local politician known as Dharmarajan, alias Selvan, is revealed in layers by his wife, sister, mistress, confidante, and others who are close to him. The second film by actor-director-scenarist Shanker Ramakrishnan, titled Rani — The Real Story, focuses on the murder inquiry as it exposes the politician’s and man’s lives.

The story of Dharmarajan is told in the investigative thriller “Rani — The Real Story” by Guru Somasundaram, a cunning and hard-nosed politician with a hand in many of the region’s pies.
