WHY YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR IPHONE OR GALAXY

SellCell, a service for the sale of used equipment, has published its regular annual report on the loyalty of users of smartphones of various brands. To do this, the authors surveyed more than 5 thousand smartphone users aged 18 and older who own devices from Apple, iPhone or Galaxy Samsung, Google, LG, and Motorola.

The results showed that only 8.1% of iPhone owners would like to switch to another brand of smartphones. They named the reasons for staying:

  • Apple is the best manufacturer, there is no desire to change something – 45%.
  • Tied to the Apple ecosystem – 21%.
  • I don’t want to switch from iOS to Android (transfer data and get used to the new system) – 18%.
  • Never had a problem with Apple, so there is no need to look for another option – 16%.

In comparison, only 74% of Samsung Galaxy users would like to take the next phone from the same manufacturer. And that’s why:

  • Samsung is the best manufacturer, there is no desire to change anything – 41%.
  • Tied to the Samsung ecosystem – 5%.
  • I don’t want to switch from Android to iOS (transfer data and get used to the new system) – 31%.
  • Never had a problem with Samsung, so there is no need to look for another option – 23%.

Well, for those who do plan to migrate to another ecosystem from the iPhone, here are the main reasons:

  • The best technology from other brands (screen, camera, battery, etc.) – 38%.
  • I like the design of another brand more – 26.4%.
  • Another brand offers more useful features – 13%.
  • I like Android more – 9.2%.
  • The other brand’s price-performance ratio seems more attractive – 6.7%.
  • I just want something new – 3.7%.
  • For higher security – 3%.

Galaxy users have almost completely opposite priorities:

  • For higher security – 31.5%.
  • The price-performance ratio of the other brand seems to be more attractive – 25.2%.
  • I just want something new – 13.9%.
  • I like iOS more – 13%.
  • I like the design of another brand more – 7.8%.
  • The best technology from other brands (screen, camera, battery, etc.) – 5%.
